Emergency Executive Order 20-56
Section 8. Part l.
Dispersed and remote camping sites for single household use. A dispersed campsite is a single campsite, not in a developed campground, used for overnight camping. A remote campsite is a designated backpack or watercraft campsite, not in a developed campground, used for overnight camping. Both private and public developed campgrounds remain closed to recreational camping.
With the change the world is going through, Bluff Valley has decided to open additional sites for seasonal rental only for the summer of 2020. We feel this is the best way to comply with social distancing mandates.
What does this mean for anyone with weekend reservations?
At this time, all weekend camping reservations will be canceled. You will receive a refund for your deposit/payment for your reservation by the week of your reservation date.(refunds may arrive sooner)
Bluff Valley appreciates your understanding in this matter. If you have any interest in renting a site for the summer of 2020 please contact us and we will add you to the list and contact you when it is your turn to select a site.
We just received this update from the governor.
RV resorts can be used by people who rely on their site as a primary residence, or for those who are seasonal renters and maintain their personal property at their site. Campsites can also be used for temporary shelter required for work or social distancing. Campsites that are reserved for temporary use or for recreational use on a rotating basis are not allowed.
This means that as of tomorrow April 23, 2020 anyone who has a site rented with us for the entire summer will be able to use their site.
At this time we will not have the camp store open.
We will have the water, electric and pumping services available
With that being said we still need to practice social distancing until further notice.
With the Governor extending the Stay Home Order through May 4 at this time Bluff Valley Campground will not be open until at least May 4. There will be no one allowed on the property to keep everyone safe. Please follow these orders so that we can over come this and get back to what we love sooner than later.
Thank you and stay safe.
Bluff Valley Campground
Covid-19 and how it will be affecting the 2020 camping season at Bluff Valley. As of right now the Governor has the stay home order until April 10, 2020 which as you know is before the opening day of camping season.
After speaking with Wabasha county department of health we were informed as of right now there has not been an order to keep campgrounds closed past April 10. The Governor has recommended that everyone just stay home and not travel to cabins or campgrounds. Social distancing will still be in place after April 10. We will not offer any of our services until after May 1 at the earliest. This is to protect not only our customers but also our family and staff.
We do not have a prediction as to when we will for sure be open or if we can open. We have not been given any information sooner than it has been available to the general public.
Those who have previously reserved sites we will reach out to you at a later date about the credit or refund of money paid. (This includes seasonal campers.)
We ask that you please follow the CDCs and Governor’s guidelines for social distancing so that we can stop the spread so that we are hopefully able to enjoy all our favorite things to do in the summer months. Do not come to the property before April 10 Stay home to save lives.
Tubing Is open at 8 ft.

The Hammer Race is an obstacle/terrain race in Southern MN. Part adventure race and part obstacle race, the Hammer Race is as much of a mental challenge as it is a physical one. You and your Hammer will be tested with 5+ miles of mud, obstacles, and rugged terrain. To participate in the Hammer Race, your Hammer must be a minimum of 8lbs and be carried throughout the entire course. You must cross the finish line with a Hammer to be considered a finisher, and may even need it to do so. So make sure you get to know your Hammer companion, and do not neglect it. Talk to it. Sleep with it. Keep it well groomed. Work to strengthen the bond, for you will need it to stay close and have no reason to wander off.
